Phyt Cares To Hold Annual Fundraiser in NYC Wednesday Evening, November 6th, 2019

Phyt Cares , the 501c3 U.S. tax-exempt and 1101.01 Puerto Rico tax-exempt non-profit arm of fitness facility Phyt Gym founded by Puerto Rican Jonas Serrano which educates youth and communities in New York City and Puerto Rico through fitness, will hold its Annual Fundraiser Wednesday evening, November 6th, 2019 at Le Reve, located at 125 East 54th St., New York, NY.

“ Phyt Cares has touched hundreds of participants in New York City and Puerto Rico through our fitness programs since our inception over six years ago and we look forward to making an even greater impact in the years ahead,” said Serrano. “We are extremely proud to say that 100% of the funds raised go directly to the communities we serve so we can continue to make a difference in numerous ways, including providing after-school programs for students along with ones for youth and families, empower women, create employment, support artists and athletes and more.”

New York City:

-In conjunction with the New York City Department of Education, Phyt Cares launched a new partnership for the 2019-2020 academic year with Manhattan Center for Math and Science High School in East Harlem.

- Phyt Cares continues our ongoing partnership with 8th graders at Issac Newton Middle School, also in East Harlem, to prepare them for high school.

- Phyt Cares continues to provide fitness programs, including boxing and self-defense for career-driven women in finance.

- Phyt Cares struck a partnership with Grand Street Settlement to provide fitness programs for Lower East Side residents.

Puerto Rico:

- Phyt Cares struck two new partnerships with schools, the Escuela Santa Rosa III elementary school and the Instituto Modelo de Enseñanza Individualizada (Colegio IMEI) for students with special needs.

- Phyt Cares has created employment for local fitness industry professionals/business owners by giving them both a place and equipment to empower them with entrepreneurial skills and run their businesses out of Phyt Gym .

- Phyt Cares has teamed up with local artists by welcoming them to Phyt Gym not only as their fitness home but also opening their doors to them to help them rehearse their music.

- Phyt Cares has sponsored, supported and trained professional and amateur athletes to make their debut in competitions.

-Finally, Phyt Cares has teamed up with Eco’s Sports Park and professional boxer Juan Manuel Lopez to launch a Fight Camp to empower the community with boxing, self-defense and conditioning.
